History/Staffing
Twenty-nine years ago, when the Royale Orleans was born, our mission was to create an affordable, elegant and friendly service so that people of average incomes could afford the beautiful receptions and family events that people of high incomes enjoyed. Little did we know then that we would serve so many families over the years, not only for their weddings but for special anniversaries, their company's meetings and parties, their children's school and athletic banquets and auctions, and memorial lunches and services. Our staff is honored that you have given us so many opportunities to serve your life events.
Through the years we have listened to our customers, and change has happened at the Royale Orleans. In 1979, couples had only live bands for their musical entertainment. In more recent years, less than 5 percent of our guests use a live band. In 1979, receptions began after 8:00 PM on Saturday evenings and dinner was served late, almost always after 9:00 PM. Today, dinner is served between 6:00 and 7:30 PM, and most receptions are over by 11:00 PM. Afternoon receptions have become more popular with each passing year. Other significant changes have occurred in drinking, smoking and menus - remember the mostaccioli and potato salad? Today, we also offer our guests a choice of tablecloths, colors of linen napkins, dinnerware and china service. We have never objected to changing our services to meet customer expectations. We believe that is why we have such loyal customers. We are looking forward to many changes in the coming years.
We have professional, quality personnel on staff to ensure the consistency of service that you have always enjoyed at the Royale Orleans. Dona, our chef, has been here the full 29 years, lending her expertise to your event so you might have a great time. And, Forrest and Donna Miller have been here too!
